About

My name is Alice (Xinyun). I'm a software engineer in Melbourne.

I write code for a living, but I also write it to understand how things work. I build tiny keyboards and type on them too much. I collect fonts the way some people collect vinyl. I take photos of things that won't stay still. I learn French badly but with great enthusiasm.

I believe in writing things down. 好记性不如烂笔头 — a bad pen is better than a good memory.

This site is my digital garden. A place where I think out loud, connect ideas, and write things down before they slip away. Nothing here is polished. That's the point — the mess is where the thinking happens.

Three nodes, three kinds of notes — fleeting captures at the bottom-left, literature notes at the bottom-right, permanent ideas at the top. The lines are the connections between them. The faint dot in the center is the insight that emerges when you link things together. A small constellation for a knowledge graph.
